Works garbage time
Lewis carried the ball nine times for 26 yards in the team's Week 14 win over the Raiders. He also added one reception for five yards.
Analysis: Lewis managed nearly all of his production in garbage time, as he had only two rushes for 10 yards through 50 minutes of action. Notably, Lewis also lost work in the passing game to Khari Blasingame, who had receptions of 24 and 23 yards earlier in the contest. Lewis has clearly fallen out of favor in Tennessee, and it's no longer clear he is the handcuff to Derrick Henry.

Role shrinks again
Lewis did not record a carry but did haul in his lone target for nine yards in the team's Week 13 win over the Colts.
Analysis: After recording his highest carry total of the season Week 12, Lewis failed to find traction in the team's offensive game plan. He was on the field for just 11 snaps, further solidifying his lack of involvement. At this point, it's clear that Lewis is nothing more than a handcuff for Derrick Henry.

Six total touches in Week 12 win
Lewis carried the ball five times for 21 yards in the Titans' Week 12 win over the Jaguars. He also added one reception for 24 yards.
Analysis: After not getting a touch in Week 10 against the Chiefs, Lewis got involved immediately Sunday by recording his lone reception during the team's first possession of the game. That was his most notable contribution, though he did occasionally spell Derrick Henry to record his highest carry total of the season. Lewis will look to remain involved in Week 13 against the Colts.

Silent in win
Lewis did not record a touch during Sunday's 35-32 win over the Chiefs.
Analysis: It's been a disappointing season for the veteran back, but Sunday offered further indignities. While Derrick Henry ran for a season-high 188 yards, Lewis saw the field for a season-low 15 snaps and did not record a touch for the first time this season. Lewis' steady trend downward had probably already scared off fantasy GMs, but Sunday should have been enough to chase away any stragglers. Next up is a Jacksonville defense that held Lewis to 20 total yards in Week 3.

Posts 53 total yards
Lewis ran the ball four times for 20 yards against the Panthers in Week 9. He also added five receptions for 33 yards.
Analysis: Lewis earned his highest touch total of the season and also surpassed 50 total yards for the first time. He broke free from the Panthers defense for a few big plays, most notably on a screen pass that he turned upfield for a 24-yard gain. However, he also lost a costly fumble early in the second quarter just as the Titans were entering Carolina territory. Derrick Henry remains the clear leader in the Titans' backfield, with Lewis showing little ability to make an impact through nine games this…read more

Continues descent
Lewis caught his lone target for a two-yard gain during Sunday's 27-23 win over Tampa Bay.
Analysis: Lewis has now amassed just four total yards over the past two weeks and has yet to score or tally more than 30 yards in a game this season. It's not as if Lewis is being replaced as the Titans' No. 2 RB, it's just that Derrick Henry has hogged touches this season. With Marcus Mariota now on the bench and Ryan Tannehill under center, the Titans seem to have opted to throw it more, but even then Lewis has been tasked with picking up blitzes rather than running routes. Sunday's opponents, the…read more

Hits new low
Lewis carried the ball once for minus-2 yards in Week 7 against the Chargers. He also failed to bring in his only target.
Analysis: Lewis appeared in a season-low 27 percent of the team's offensive snaps, even with Tennessee in a close contest. As has been the case for much of the season, Lewis is solely a handcuff option for Derrick Henry, given his lack of involvement in the team's gameplan.

Finally involved through air
Lewis carried the ball just once for negative one yard in Week 6 against Denver. However, he did haul in all three of his targets for 20 yards.
Analysis: Lewis once again failed to make any impact on the ground, but finally displayed the receiving prowess of seasons past. None of his three catches were particularly explosive, though he did convert a first down with one of his receptions late in the fourth quarter as the Titans' attempted to rally. While the slight uptick in involvement is promising, Lewis will still have to fight for a limited number of targets with the likes of Corey Davis, A.J. Brown and Adam Humphries among others in the…read more

Remains uninvolved
Lewis rushed the ball two times for 11 yards Week 5 against the Bills. He also added two receptions on four targets for 19 yards.
Analysis: Lewis continues to have little involvement in the Titans' offensive game plan. He's now accumulated four or fewer touches in three of five contests this season, never surpassing eight rushes and receptions combined in a single game. As a result, Lewis is only a handcuff to Derrick Henry at this point in the campaign.

Earns eight touches
Lewis carried the ball four times for 16 yards in Week 4 against Atlanta. He also added four receptions for four yards.
Analysis: Lewis tallied a season-best eight touches in the game, but managed only 20 total yards. Notably, three of his four receptions went for negative yards, negated only by an 11 yard reception late in the fourth quarter. In contrast to the 2018 season, Derrick Henry is the clear lead back, making Lewis only a handcuff option.

Diminished involvement continues
Lewis carried the ball three times for 13 yards in the Titans' Week 3 loss to the Jaguars. He also added one reception on one target for seven yards.
Analysis: Lewis continues to play a minimal role in the team's offense, with Derrick Henry accounting for 17 of the team's 26 rushing attempts in Week 3. More surprisingly, Lewis has yet to make an impact in the team's passing attack, as he's been targeted only six times through three games. There's no sign that he'll get more touches in Week 4 as the team faces Atlanta, meaning his value will likely only increase if Henry suffers an injury.

Earns only four touches
Lewis carried the ball three times for nine yards and hauled in his lone target for five yards in Week 2 against the Colts.
Analysis: Lewis was once again a peripheral part of the offense, getting only four touches as opposed to Derrick Henry's 17. While Lewis and Henry were utilized in a nearly even split for much of the 2018 season, it is clear that won't be the case in 2019 barring injury or a sudden drop in performance from Henry. Through two games this campaign, Lewis has only four receptions and six rushing attempts.

Quiet in Week 1
Lewis carried the ball three times for seven yards in Week 1 against Cleveland. He also added three receptions for six yards.
Analysis: Lewis was largely scripted out of the game. The Titans led the Browns for the majority of the contest, and Derrick Henry posted a tremendous game as both a receiver and rusher. Still, Lewis could continue to play a key role in the Titans' passing attack; he was targeted four times, tied for second on the team with receiver A.J. Brown. Still, he'll be game-script-dependent, making him a shaky option on a weekly basis, even in PPR leagues.

Just one carry Sunday
Lewis did not gain a yard on his lone carry in Sunday's preseason loss to Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Derrick Henry (calf) was held out of the final preseason game for starters, so Lewis got the nod in his place Sunday. The speedier backfield option failed to gain a yard while getting just one touch against a Steeler defense that overpowered the Titans' offensive line for the entire first quarter. Once the regular season starts, Lewis figures to serve a similar role behind Henry as the change-of-pace and receiving back. The 28-year-old churned out 917 total yards and two scores in that role…read more

Limited work again
Lewis carried the ball four times for 16 yards in the Titans' second preseason game against the Patriots. He also hauled in one pass for nine yards.
Analysis: Lewis worked as the primary back to begin the game, but began to split work with Jeremy McNichols in the team's third offensive possession. He didn't put forward any particularly noteworthy plays but did rush for a solid gain of eight yards on his first touch of the contest. Once the regular season hits, Lewis figures to work primarily as the Titans' pass-catching back as well as to spell Derrick Henry (calf) periodically.

Quiet start to preseason
Lewis carried the ball twice for seven yards in Thursday's preseason win over the Eagles.
Analysis: The veteran was only one the field for one series before being replaced by Jeremy McNichols. Lewis has a firm hold on the No. 2 spot on the Titans' depth chart behind Derrick Henry (calf), so he had little to prove in the preseason opener, but after seeing 214 touches last year including a career-high 59 catches, there's no guarantee he maintains that volume if Henry's workload grows.

Displays burst in camp
Lewis had the Titans' best run of Tuesday's practice, bursting through the line and into the open field for a big gain, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Lewis remains a lock to make the roster but is expected to be limited to a satellite role behind lead back Derrick Henry (calf). Though there's little concern at this point that Henry's injury will force him to miss regular-season action, Lewis would be the primary beneficiary in the event Henry's recovery progresses slower than anticipated. Lewis managed 517 rushing yards to go with 59 receptions for 400 yards and two total touchdowns in his first season with the team in 2018.

Poised for complementary role
Coach Mike Vrabel recently referred to Lewis as a "complement" to lead back Derrick Henry, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official website reports. "We're going to have to be able to use Dion and whoever else we have on the roster to complement (Derrick) in different aspects," Vrabel said. "There's things that we can do to continue to let Derrick improve and getting the ball to him."
Analysis: The Titans nearly rode Henry's memorable hot streak to a playoff appearance, ripping off four straight wins in December before a Week 17 loss to Indianapolis ended the dream. Lewis averaged 5.2 carries, 3.8 targets and 35.6 scrimmage yards during that five-game stretch, while Henry piled up 625 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. Lewis still finished second on the Titans in catches (59) and third in scrimmage yards (917), but his mark of 3.3 yards per carry looks particularly ugly in…read more

Has minimal role
Lewis did not carry the ball in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the Colts. He did add three catches on four targets for a total of 23 yards.
Analysis: Since getting a season-high 20 carries in Week 10 against New England, Lewis has steadily seen his role in the offense decline. That culminated with him not seeing a single carry in the season finale and only earning 10 combined rushing attempts across the last three games of the season. His diminishing role coincided with the emergence of Derrick Henry, who has established himself as the workhorse in the team's backfield over the course of the last four contests. On the positive side, Lewis…read more

Only six touches
Lewis totaled five yards on three carries in Saturday's 25-16 win over Washington. He also added three catches for 20 yards.
Analysis: Lewis continued his fall out of fantasy relevancy Saturday, totaling only six touches in comparison to Derrick Henry's 22. He did have one highlight-worthy play, taking a short dump-off from Marcus Mariota and converting it into an 18-yard gain. Other than that play, Lewis did little of note, averaging only 1.7 yards per carry. He cannot be trusted for a big role in the team's regular-season finale against the Colts.

Overshadowed again
Lewis carried the ball seven times for 35 yards in Sunday's 17-0 win over the Giants. He also added three receptions for nine yards.
Analysis: Lewis found himself on the short end of the running back split for the third consecutive week, racking up seven carries compared to Derrick Henry's 33. The rainy conditions of this game benefited the playing style of Henry over Lewis, though Lewis has now failed to earn 20 touches in a game for five consecutive weeks. Due to that lack of volume, he's only a desperation play in PPR leagues moving forward.

Clear second fiddle in win
Lewis rushed 10 times for 13 yards and brought in all five of his targets for 39 yards in the Titans' 30-9 win over the Jaguars on Thursday.
Analysis: Lewis saw backfield mate Derrick Henry explode for 238 rushing yards Thursday, so he was essentially left with a handful of leftover carries and a solid amount of pass-catching work. The veteran back has failed to top 36 rushing yards in four consecutive contests, and he hasn't found paydirt on the ground since the opener. Henry's stellar effort Thursday would seemingly dampen Lewis' even further, but coach Mike Vrabel has been unpredictable in how he's divided the backfield workload this…read more

Role shrinks
Lewis carried the ball six times for a total of 36 yards in Sunday's 26-22 win over the Jets. He also added two receptions for minus-2 yards.
Analysis: Lewis posted a season-high 20 carries in Week 10 against New England but has steadily seen his workload decrease since. That didn't change Sunday, when he saw a total of eight touches -- his lowest mark since the Titans' contest against Baltimore in Week 6. His lack of involvement in the passing game is especially concerning, and he has logged two or fewer receptions in three of his past four contests. Given his dearth of touchdowns, his fantasy floor appears limited at the moment.

Struggles on the ground
Lewis rushed seven times for eight yards and caught all seven of his targets for 33 yards in Monday's 34-17 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Lewis was stymied on the ground for the second straight week and now has just 32 yards over his last 17 attempts. While Lewis struggled to get going, the Titans leaned more heavily on No. 2 back Derrick Henry, who led the Titans with eight carries. Henry didn't do much better than Lewis, however, gaining just 30 yards while also losing a fumble in the game's waning moments. Lewis keeps his fantasy floor higher than Henry by contributing in the passing game, but his recent poor form as a runner…read more

Another disappointing performance
Lewis carried the ball 10 times for 24 yards in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Colts. He also added one catch on two targets for eight yards.
Analysis: Lewis wasn't able to get anything going against the Colts despite once again leading the Titans' backfield in touches. His failure on the ground was not a major departure from the majority of the season, though his lack of involvement in the passing game was a letdown. His two targets tied for his lowest of the season, but he has now seen only a pair of targets in consecutive games. While it appeared that Lewis was poised for another big second half of the season, his performance across the…read more

Outplayed by Henry in win
Lewis rushed 20 times for 57 yards and caught both of his targets for 11 more in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Lewis got twice as many touches as Derrick Henry, but Henry had the better fantasy day by virtue of scoring two touchdowns. While Lewis' versatility gets him the majority of work, Henry's bulkier frame is more effective near the goal line. Considering Henry has four touchdowns in the past three weeks, he's likely to keep cutting into Lewis' value against the Colts in Week 11.

Tops 120 scrimmage yards while scoring
Lewis rushed 19 times for 62 yards and caught all four of his targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 28-14 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Lewis saw teammate Derrick Henry score a one-yard touchdown to start the night, but along with finding the end zone on an 18-yard screen pass on the Titans' next drive, it was Lewis who would dominate the proceedings. In fact, he was handed more than three times the amount of carries Henry got (six). While his average of under 3.5 yards per rush wasn't great, Lewis' total of over 120 yards from scrimmage fueled Tennessee's victory and could earn him another healthy workload against his former…read more
