Lands on IR
The Jets placed Enunwa (neck) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Analysis: With Enunwa done for the season, the newly-acquired Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) now has a chance to secure a key role in the Jets' passing attack alongside fellow field-stretching threat Robby Anderson and slot man Jamison Crowder. Enunwa's future in football is murky while he contends with his second significant neck injury in three years.

Done for season with neck injury
Enunwa suffered neck injury in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bills and will be shut down for the rest of the season, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Analysis: The Jets' acquisition Tuesday of Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) had already cast some doubt on Enunwa's status as a starter, but no competition for reps between the two will happen now that Enunwa has been shuttered for the season Enunwa was sent in for further testing Monday, and while the Jets determined he was dealing with a serious injury, it's unclear at this time if his latest setback with his neck is career-threatening. Posts Week 1 dud
Enunwa caught one of three targets for minus-4 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: Owners hoping for Enunwa to turn things up in the regular season after a quiet preseason were left disappointed. He also briefly went to the blue injury tent but promptly returned, so the injury-prone wideout may have picked up a knock in this one in addition to his struggles.

Quiet preseason continues
Enunwa failed to haul in his lone target in Saturday's 28-13 preseason loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Enunwa hasn't been able to get going this preseason, but the most important thing for him is staying healthy, which he has been able to do. The physical wideout should see a healthy dose of targets from quarterback Sam Darnold once the games start to count.

Targeted once against G-Men
Enunwa (groin) failed to haul in his lone target in Thursday's preseason opener against the Giants.
Analysis: Quarterback Sam Darnold targeted Enunwa on his first pass of the game, but the ball never got to the receiver and was instead almost intercepted by safety Jabrill Peppers. The most important news here is that Enunwa was out there for the opening drive along with the rest of the Jets' starters, suggesting the minor groin injury he suffered in practice Tuesday is behind him.

Suits up Thursday
Enunwa (groin) is uniform for Thursday's preseason opener against the Giants, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: That's a bit of a surprise, considering that Enunwa recently tweaked his groin in practice, but evidently the issue was a minor one. It remains to be see how much action Enunwa might see Thursday, but the fact that he's suited up for the contest represents good news for the Jets.

Will undergo tests
Enunwa is slated to have tests after leaving Tuesday's practice with a groin injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The report relays that coach Adam Gase doesn't sound overly concerned about Enunwa's injury, given that the wideout wanted to return to practice after his exit Tuesday, but this remains a situation to monitor. Enunwa is listed as a starting wideout along with Robby Anderson and slot man Jamison Crowder on the Jets' unofficial training camp depth chart, which was posted Monday.

Leaves practice Tuesday
Enunwa was forced to leave Tuesday's practice due to a possible groin injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: It looks like the injury was non-contact, which certainly isn't a good sign for Enunwa, who pulled up limping after running for a deep ball. Given the potential seriousness of the injury, the Jets will likely exercise plenty of caution with Enunwa, whom they just signed to a four-year, $36 million contract extension at the end of last season.

Figures to play outside more
The Jets signed slot receiver Jamison Crowder to join Enunwa and Robby Anderson in their wideout corps, ESPN.com's Rich Cimini and John Keim report.
Analysis: Enunwa has experience playing all over the field, but he's typically done his best work from the slot where he can use his 225-pound frame to pile up yards after the catch. Of course, he should be more comfortable outside with a full offseason to hone his craft, and he'll have job security after signing a four-year, $36 million extension in December. The additions of Crowder and running back Le'Veon Bell equate to a massive increase in competition for targets, but Enunwa should be cutting his…read more

Could get more downfield looks
New coach Adam Gase wants to expand Enunwa's route tree, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. "I don't want to put him in a box," Gase said. "I want him to be able to try to do as many things as he possibly can."
Analysis: Primarily a slot receiver early in his career, Enunwa spent more time lined up wide in 2018, yet his yards per catch dropped to a career low of 11.8 -- partially because he was ineffective as an outside receiver. There's little doubt he'll have a key role in 2019 after he signed a four-year, $36 million extension in December, but the exact nature of that role won't be clear until the Jets finish their offseason maneuvering. Moves to injured reserve
Enunwa (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
Analysis: Enunwa was already ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Patriots, so the Jets are simply making the move to clear some roster space for healthy bodies. The 26-year-old inked a four-year, $36 million contract with the Jets on Friday, and had 38 receptions for 449 yards and one touchdown in 11 games this season.

Nets multi-year extension
The Jets and Enunwa (ankle) reached an agreement Friday on a contract extension, Eric Allen of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: With a four-year deal worth up to $36 million in hand, per ESPN.com, the 26-year-old will be a part of a Sam Darnold-led offense for the foreseeable future. In their first season together, Enunwa tended to a high-ankle sprain from Week 6 onward, missing five games along the way. When on the field, though, he recorded 38 catches (on 68 targets) for 449 yards and one touchdown in 11 contests. Analysis: Jermaine Kearse (Achilles) has also been ruled out, which sets the stage for Robby Anderson to head the Jets' wideout corps Sunday, with added reps on tap for Andre Roberts, Deontay Burnett and Charone Peake. The 26-year-old Enunwa, who is eligible to become a free agent this offseason, finishes up the 2018 campaign with 38 catches (on 68 targets) for 449 yards and a TD in 11 games.

Enunwa (ankle) wasn't seen at the early portion of Friday's practice, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Analysis: Enunwa was given a "slim" chance of playing Week 17 on Monday and didn't participate at practice the last two days. The 26-year-old appears to be headed for his third straight absence, which could be confirmed when the Jets release their official injury report later Friday.

Sits out practice again
Enunwa (ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: With back-to-back absences from practice to kick off Week 17, Enunwa hasn't done anything to improve his outlook from Monday, when coach Todd Bowles admitted the wideout had a "slim" chance of playing in the season finale Sunday against the Patriots. With Jermaine Kearse (Achilles) also in danger of missing that contest, added reps could be on tap for Andre Roberts, Charone Peake and Deontay Burnett alongside top target Robby Anderson.

Misses out on practice
Enunwa (ankle) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Analysis: Coach Todd Bowles indicated earlier in the week that there was only a "slim" chance Enunwa would be available Sunday against the Patriots, so the wideout's absence from practice doesn't come as a surprise. Bowles' bleak assessment of the situation should be enough to keep Enunwa off the fantasy radar in Week 17.

'Slim' chance to play Week 17
Coach Todd Bowles said Monday that Enunwa (ankle) has a "slim" chance of playing in the Jets' season finale against the Patriots next weekend, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Analysis: Enunwa has been battling a high-ankle sprain since midseason, which has resulted in him sitting out four of the Jets' last nine games. With the wideout apparently having made limited progress in his recovery since his last appearance Week 14 in Buffalo, the Jets have accepted the likelihood that Enunwa's season is over. Idle for another practice
Enunwa (ankle) wasn't in attendance for Thursday's practice, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Analysis: With Enunwa following up a Week 15 absence with non-participation in practices Wednesday and Thursday, his chances of returning to action Sunday against the Packers don't appear promising. The Jets will see if Enunwa is able to do anything at Friday's practice before ruling on his status for the contest, but he looks on track to carry a questionable designation into the weekend in a best-case scenario.

Remains sidelined
Enunwa (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Per Connor Hughes of The Athletic, Enunwa is still recovering from an ankle sprain, which prevented him from playing in the Week 15 loss to the Texans. His inability to practice Wednesday isn't a promising sign, though he does have two more chances to return to work in advance of Sunday's game against the Packers. If Enunwa remains sidelined this weekend, Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse and Andre Roberts would continue to head the Jets' wideout corps.

Still not practicing
Enunwa (ankle) wasn't on the field for Wednesday's practice, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Analysis: Unless Enunwa fits in some work in the portion of practice closed off to the media, he'll go down as a non-participant for the second straight day. After sitting out Weeks 7 and 8 with a high-ankle sprain, Enunwa had appeared in the Jets' subsequent five games before exiting early in last weekend's win over the Bills when he tweaked the ankle again. Missing from practice Tuesday
Enunwa (ankle) was not on the field for Tuesday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Enunwa aggravated his previous ankle injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Bills, so we're not surprised by the fact that he's sitting out the practice session just a pair of days later. With the Jets slated for an early game Saturday against the Texans in Week 15, Enunwa will have one fewer day than normal to recover from the injury.

Aggravates ankle
Enuwna was removed late in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Bills with an ankle injury and is questionable to return, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Analysis: The wideout more than likely aggravated the high-ankle sprain that prevented him from playing in Weeks 7 and 8 and has made him a fixture on the Jets' injury reports ever since. It's unclear at this time how significant Enunwa's setback might be, but the Jets should offer an update on his condition coming out of halftime.

Analysis: Enunwa's full listing suggests the ankle issue that has lingered for a few weeks won't prevent him from playing and handling a normal workload in Sunday's game against the Bills. During the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Titans, Enunwa struggled to the tune of two receptions for nine yards on six targets, but his fantasy outlook should improve with top signal-caller Sam Darnold (foot) trending toward a return from a three-game absence this weekend in Buffalo. Bothered by ankle
Enunwa (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Enunwa was also limited last Wednesday before upgrading to full participation Thursday and Friday. He doesn't seem to be in much danger of missing Sunday's game in Buffalo but will have to contend with a pass defense ranked second in yards allowed per attempt (6.4) this season. The Jets are hoping to get Sam Darnold (foot) back under center this week after a three-game absence.

Shut down in loss
Enunwa caught two of six targets for nine yards in Sunday's 26-22 loss to Tennessee.
Analysis: Enunwa fell just one shy of the team lead in targets on the day, but as with most of the team's receivers, he just couldn't connect with Josh McCown. It came as quite a disappointment after the 26-year-old produced his second-best game of the season just a week ago. Fortunately for the former Cornhusker and the Jets offense in general, Sam Darnold (foot) should be back under center at Buffalo in Week 14, although the Bills represent the league's toughest matchup for receivers so far this season.

Ups activity in practice
Enunwa (ankle) put in a full practice Thursday, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: A lingering ankle issue resulted in Enunwa's reps being restricted Wednesday, but his advancement to full participation a day later suggests his health isn't much of a question mark heading into Sunday's game against the Titans. After failing to record more than 40 receiving yards in the Jets' preceding six games -- and sitting out two due to injury -- Enunwa turned in a bounce-back effort in last week's loss to the Patriots, notching four receptions for 73 yards. Logs limited session
Enunwa (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Enunwa played 60 of the Jets' 64 offensive snaps in the team's Week 12 loss to the Patriots. It's likely that his restrictions Wednesday were for maintenance purposes, as there weren't any reports that he aggravated the lingering ankle issue against New England. After pacing the Jets with 73 receiving yards last week, Enunwa likely ranks as the top option in the passing game heading into Sunday's matchup with the Titans.

Leading receiver in Week 12 loss
Enunwa caught all four of his targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to New England.
Analysis: Only four of Josh McCown's 45 passing attempts were intended for Enunwa, but the 26-year-old wideout still finished as the team leader in receiving yards. Bolstered by a 41-yard catch, Enunwa posted his second-highest yardage total of the season. He hasn't found the end zone since Week 1, though, so it's hard to get too excited about Enunwa ahead of a Week 13 clash with the Titans.

Cleared for Sunday
Enunwa (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest versus the Patriots.
Analysis: Enunwa was listed as "limited" on the Jets' first two Week 12 injury reports, only to practice in full Friday. Thus, the health of his ankle won't vie with his ability to suit up Sunday. With Sam Darnold (foot) sidelined again, Enunwa will be working with veteran signal-caller Josh McCown, who connected with the wide receiver on four of eight passes for 18 yards last Sunday against the Bills. Enunwa (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: A high-ankle sprain forced a two-game absence for the wideout earlier this season, but Enunwa played through the issue in both of the Jets' past two contests prior to a Week 11 bye. His limited involvement Wednesday is perhaps a sign that he hasn't completely moved past the issue, though the assumption is that his restrictions were largely maintenance-related. Catches four balls in blowout loss
Enunwa (ankle) caught four of eight targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: Enunwa led the Jets in targets and catches, but he tied for third in receiving yards as the whole offense laid an egg under backup quarterback Josh McCown. In the contest, Enunwa played 48 of the Jets' 66 offensive snaps, finishing with three receptions for 40 yards on four targets. Enunwa (ankle) caught three of four targets for 40 yards during Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Enunwa made his return after a three-game injury absence, finishing third on the team in catches and second in receiving yardage. He accomplished the feat on just four targets, as he seemingly has his workload limited in his first game back. Enunwa had a productive rapport with Sam Darnold earlier in the year and should return to the fantasy radar once he's back up to full speed. Game-time decision for Week 9
Enunwa (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Analysis: The same applies to Robby Anderson (ankle), with Eric Allen of the Jets' official site relaying via coach Todd Bowles that both wideouts are viewed as game-time decisions ahead of the 1 p.m. EST kickoff. Enunwa, who last played Oct. 14, is bouncing back from a high-ankle sprain, so fantasy players will probably want to see him turn in a full and productive game before rolling with him in lineups.

Working on side field Friday
Enunwa (ankle) was spotted at Friday's practice, but worked on the side during the open portion of the session, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
Analysis: Enunwa is right around the early end of the estimated 3-to-4-week timeline he was handed after first suffering the injury, but it's looking like he'll sit out practice Friday. That would mean that Enunwa didn't get in any work this week, making it unlikely he would be ready to suit up Sunday in Miami. Enunwa will almost certainly have to get some practice reps in before he's deemed ready for game action.
