Caps strong season with quiet game
Anderson caught three of seven targets for 40 yards during Sunday's 33-7 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Anderson made a splash with his 31-yard long gain but managed just nine yards between his other two grabs. He was lost in the shuffle a bit in this one as DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel had big games, but he finishes the season with new career highs of 95 receptions and 1,096 yards to go along with three touchdowns. Anderson should maintain a large role next season -- especially if Samuel leaves in free agency -- and will look to improve upon his first campaign with the Panthers.

Puts in full practice
Robinson (groin) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Robinson went down as a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, though he was present for the session and sported a no-contact jersey while he worked out. According to Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site, Anderson ditched the jersey for the portion of Thursday's session that was open to the media, and his listing as a full participant on the official report implies he did in fact take contact in some capacity. With that, Anderson looks like he'll enter Sunday's season finale against the…read more

Held out by groin injury
Anderson didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury.
Analysis: Anderson was spotted wearing a red no-contact jersey at the start of the session, and after logging no reps whatsoever, he was listed with the groin issue on the Panthers' first Week 17 injury report. The fifth year of his career has been one of personal bests in terms of catches (92) and receiving yards (1,056), but Anderson only has three touchdowns on 129 targets. Anderson's status is now in question for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Wearing non-contact jersey
Anderson is donning a red no-contact jersey at Wednesday's practice, Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Anderson handled his usual snap share during last weekend's win over Washington, securing seven of 10 targets for 39 yards and a score in the process. It's possible that the veteran wideout is simply receiving a day of rest, but Wednesday's practice report will reveal whether Anderson is dealing with any sort of injury.

Tallies third touchdown
Anderson recorded seven receptions on 10 targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against Washington.
Analysis: Despite plenty of opportunity, Anderson turned in an inefficient performance by averaging only 3.9 yards per target. He did manage to tally his third touchdown of the season on a 14-yard reception late in the second quarter, which was also his longest reception of the day. After this disappointing performance, Anderson will look to cap his career-best season with a strong effort in Week 17 against the Saints.

Limited to two catches in loss
Anderson brought in two of five targets for 21 yards in the Panthers' 24-16 loss to the Packers on Saturday night. He also netted minus-1 yard on his sole rush.
Analysis: Anderson unexpectedly slumped to a season-low reception total while also tying his low-water mark in receiving yardage and targets in the eight-point loss. The speedster was consistently contained by the Packers' coverage-savvy secondary, which resulted in a particularly untimely dud for fantasy managers who've been benefiting from his strong production the majority of the season. Posts 84 yards against Denver
Anderson reeled in eight of 12 targets for 84 yards, adding two rushes for 13 yards during Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Anderson and Curtis Samuel (nine targets) served as the clear go-to options for Teddy Bridgewater, as DJ Moore (ankle) remained on the reserve/COVID-19 list for Sunday's tilt. Regardless of Moore's presence in the lineup, Anderson has been consistently posting viable fantasy numbers in 2020, surpassing his previous career high in receiving yards (941) by virtue of his Week 14 performance. A total of just two touchdowns has kept Anderson from the elite tier of the position, but a constant…read more

Could see extra targets
Anderson may see even more work than usual in Sunday's game against the Broncos, as teammate DJ Moore remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: With Moore and Christian McCaffrey (thigh/shoulder) both expected to sit out, the Panthers are left with Anderson, Curtis Samuel and RB Mike Davis as their top receiving threats. Anderson has already been a steady part of the offense all season, but he reached double-digit targets in just one of his last seven games before a Week 13 bye, averaging 5.6 catches for 60.4 yards in that stretch. Just short of century mark in loss
Anderson secured four of seven targets for 94 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' 28-27 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Analysis: Anderson displayed his impressive wheels on his 41-yard score in the second quarter, turning a crossing pattern into his second touchdown of the campaign. The 27-year-old paced the Panthers in receiving yardage on the afternoon, with his tally qualifying as his highest since a 112-yard effort versus the Falcons back in Week 5. Anderson will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 14 home matchup against the Broncos following the Week 13 bye.

Solid volume in Week 11 win
Anderson brought in seven of nine targets for 46 yards in the Panthers' 20-0 win over the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: Anderson was back to his usual high-volume target share a week after he produced a season-low 21 yards on six looks in a Week 10 loss to the Buccaneers. While he still lagged considerably behind fellow wideouts DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel in yardage, Anderson did compile his third-highest reception total of the campaign. Anderson's solid Week 11 chemistry with spot starter P.J. Walker notwithstanding, Anderson's fantasy ceiling likely is higher if Teddy Bridgewater (knee) is able to return for a…read more

Quieted in Week 10 loss
Anderson brought in four of six targets for 21 yards in the Panthers' 46-23 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Anderson was in the familiar position of serving as one of the Panthers' leaders in targets, checking in second only to DJ Moore in that category for the afternoon. However, unlike most every other game this season, Anderson couldn't shake free for any appreciable gains, leading to his lowest yardage tally of the campaign. The veteran Temple product will look to put the underwhelming performance behind him when the Panthers tangle with the Lions in a favorable Week 11 matchup.

Nine receptions in losing effort
Anderson brought in nine of 13 targets for 63 yards in the Panthers' 33-31 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Analysis: Anderson saw his usual hefty workload in the Panthers passing game, one that saw him draw a team- and season-high number of targets. The fifth-year pro also tied his season best for receptions, further cementing his status as Teddy Bridgewater's top target in a game that marked the return of Christian McCaffrey (ribs) to action. In Week 10, Anderson will look to put together another productive performance at the expense of a Buccaneers team against whom he posted 109 yards on nine receptions…read more

Mostly short-area work in loss
Anderson brought in five of eight targets for 48 yards in the Panthers' 25-17 loss to the Falcons on Thursday night.
Analysis: The speedy Anderson continued to serve as Teddy Bridgewater's favorite target, as the eight looks he logged were a team high. However, outside of a 27-yard grab, the Falcons secondary did a good job keeping Anderson in front of them, surrendering just 21 yards to him on his other four catches. The overall yardage tally was the lowest for Anderson on the season, so he'll look to bounce back in what should be a high-scoring Week 9 affair versus the Chiefs on the road Sunday, Nov. 8.

Busy day in loss
Anderson secured six of eight targets for 74 yards in the Panthers' 27-24 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
Analysis: Anderson tied Curtis Samuel for the team lead in receptions, checked in second in receiving yards, and set the pace in targets. His chemistry with fellow new arrival Teddy Bridgewater has been excellent from the start, and Anderson has now posted at least Sunday's reception and receiving yardage tallies in five of seven games. The veteran speedster will look to keep the momentum going against the vulnerable Falcons secondary in a Thursday night Week 8 matchup.

Another solid receiving day
Anderson caught four of his five targets for 77 receiving yards during Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Anderson was out-targeted by DJ Moore for the first time since Week 2 -- and by a wide margin -- as the Maryland product more than doubled Anderson's target share against the Bears. Despite the discrepancy in targets, Moore ended up only one notch higher in the catch department than did Anderson, with 16 more receiving yards. Reaches 100 yards again
Anderson caught eight of his 13 targets for 112 receiving yards during Sunday's 23-16 win against the Falcons.
Analysis: Though D.J. Moore was the lone Panthers wideout to corral a Teddy Bridgewater TD pass on the day, Anderson out-targeted Moore for a third consecutive contest, providing the Temple product with a 47-37 edge in that department this season. With plentiful opportunities, Anderson has produced for his former college coach Matt Rhule, as he now sits just 11 receiving yards shy of the 500-yard threshold with 11 games remaining on the regular-season slate. Team's top target against Cards
Anderson hauled in eight of 11 targets for 99 receiving yards during Sunday's 31-21 win against the Cardinals.
Analysis: Anderson continues to produce like a Pro Bowl receiver for his former college coach Matt Rhule, as the Temple product has already accumulated 28 receptions for 377 yards and a touchdown through the first quarter of Carolina's regular-season slate. The argument can be made that he is the top WR option (if not co-WR1) for the new-look Panthers, as Anderson has out-targeted D.J. Moore 34-32 through four weeks. Analysis: Anderson finished second on the team in targets, catches and yards but was unable to break off any of his typical long gains. Still, he came away with a respectable stat line in a difficult matchup and is averaging 92.7 yards per game in three contests with his new team. Second straight 100-yard effort
Anderson secured nine of 10 targets for 109 yards in the Panthers' 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Analysis: Anderson was able to clear the century mark in receiving yardage for the second time in as many games in a Panthers uniform, once again displaying excellent chemistry with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater while pacing all pass catchers in receptions. The speedster did fumble early in the third quarter after a seven-yard catch, but Carolina got the ball right back on a Donte Jackson interception a play later. Breaks off long touchdown
Anderson tallied six catches on eight targets for 115 yards and one touchdown in Week 1 against the Raiders.
Analysis: Anderson racked up just one target fewer than D.J. Moore, surprising volume for the deep threat. However, the majority of his production came on a 75-yard deep touchdown reception halfway through the fourth quarter. Anderson showed immediate chemistry with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, which should bode well for him remaining involved in the offense. He and the Panthers will draw a stiff test in Week 2 as they take on the Buccaneers.

Impressing early in camp
Anderson's speed has helped him consistently get separation while running routes in training camp, Jonathan M. Alexander of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis: Anderson's addition to Carolina's offense bolstered a receiving corps that included D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel, not to mention tailback Christian McCaffrey. In his first couple practices, Anderson has reportedly been open often due to his agility, a premium component new coordinator Joe Brady and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will hope to capitalize on. In fact, with a few nice touchdowns in his early camp outings, Anderson already seems to have developed a decent rapport with Bridgewater.

Signs on with Carolina
Anderson is signing a two-year, $20 million contract with the Panthers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Anderson likely is disappointed with the financial terms, perhaps suffering from a lack of interest due to the 2020 NFL Draft being loaded at his position. From an on-field standpoint he'll have plenty of competition for targets, joining D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel to give Teddy Bridgewater one of the fastest WR groups in the NFL. The Jets have reached out to Anderson, an upcoming unrestricted free agent, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Anderson has been a stalwart in the Jets' passing attack since arriving as an undrafted free agent in 2016, averaging 6.2 targets per game and 8.0 YPT over the past four seasons. Since the conclusion of the most recent campaign, he's expressed interest in remaining with the only organization he's known but won't do so at a hometown discount, per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. Anderson said he hopes to re-sign with the Jets, Bob Glauber of Newsday reports.
Analysis: Anderson previously said he wouldn't take a hometown discount, but that doesn't necessarily mean he won't re-sign if the price is right. It's also quite possible that he uses an offer from the Jets as leverage for a contract from another team in free agency. The speedy wide receiver can hit the open market in March, two months before his 27th birthday.

Not interested in hometown discount
Anderson, a pending free agent, said he won't give the Jets a hometown discount, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports. "You got to talk to my agent," Anderson said. "I don't think that makes sense."
Analysis: The real question is whether he'll even listen to the team's offers. Anderson has played 62 of a possible 64 games since latching on with the Jets as an undrafted rookie in 2016, typically working as the first or second option in the passing game. Third straight 700-yard season

Analysis: Anderson didn't make much of an impact in what may have been his final game with the Jets, as the 26-year-old speedster will be a free agent this offseason. Four of Anderson's five touchdowns and two of his three 100-yard games came in the final seven weeks, and he finishes with 52 catches for 779 yards and five touchdowns overall. Analysis: The wideout, who's recorded four touchdowns over his last six outings, is out there if you need him Sunday and figures to remain a key target for QB Sam Darnold in the Jets' season finale, in the absence of any in-game setbacks. Through 15 games, Anderson has logged 49 catches (on 89 targets) for 761 yards (six less that team leader Jamison Crowder) and five TDs.

Listed as questionable for Week 17
Anderson (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills after practicing in a limited fashion this week, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Per Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site, Anderson dealt with some leg tightness Thursday, but his limitations at that time were portrayed as precautionary. With that in mind, we'd expect the wideout -- who's recorded four touchdowns over his last six outings -- to suit up this weekend, but his status will still be worth confirming prior to Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff.

Four TDs in last six games
Anderson (illness) caught two of four targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Steelers.
Analysis: Anderson needed every inch of his 6-foot-3 frame to snag a high throw in the end zone between two defenders for a 23-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The speedy wideout didn't do much after that, but he now has four touchdowns in his last six games ahead of a Week 17 trip to Buffalo.

Anderson (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Analysis: Anderson missed a practice and was limited in another this week after falling ill, but his condition apparently improved enough over the weekend for the Jets to sign off on him playing. Returns to practice, listed as questionable
Anderson (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers after returning to a limited practice Friday.
Analysis: We'd expect Anderson -- who has hauled in 22 of his 32 targets for 370 yards and two TDs over his last four outings -- to be able to play, and fortunately for those considering him in Week 16 lineups, the Jets kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. Anderson didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Analysis: The wideout, who was sent home Thursday, will thus look to return to work Friday for the Jets' final practice in advance of Sunday's game against the Steelers. Anderson (shoulder/back) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against Washington after practicing fully Friday, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: While Anderson's playing status is no longer in doubt, his Week 11 fantasy utility is debatable. The speedy wideout maintains a degree of big-play upside, but he's been a hit-or-miss option of late and is coming off a quiet effort in the Week 10 win over the Giants.
