Ready for Week 11 return
Omenihu (leg) is active for Sunday's matchup against New England.
Analysis: The 2019 fifth-round draft choice sat out Houston's Week 10 road loss to the Browns, marking his first missed game of the campaign. The Texas product dressed for 14 contests as a rookie, and he's continued to fill an important rotational role on defense in his sophomore season as well. Omenihu has logged two sacks this season while fielding a workload of 29.5 defensive snaps per game, and he has at least one QB hit in seven straight appearances.

Out ahead of Sunday
Omenihu (leg) will not play in Sunday's game against the Browns.
Analysis: Omenihu did not travel with the team to Cleveland, which reinforces the point he will not play. The defensive end did not practice all week, but he will aim to try and take the field against the Patriots in Week 11.

Highly questionable for Sunday
Omenihu (leg) is considered questionable for Sunday's game versus the Browns.
Analysis: Omenihu didn't practice all week, so it's tough to see a path to play this weekend. The Texans believe he has a chance, however, and we'll know the final verdict about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If he's forced to sit out, Carlos Watkins could pick up some extra reps at defensive end.

Suffers leg injury
Omenihu is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a leg injury.
Analysis: Omenihu registered one hit on the quarterback before exiting during the first half. Carlos Watkins should see more work as a rotational defensive end in his absence.

Another sack in loss
Omenihu had one tackle and one sack in Sunday's 28-21 loss to Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Working in a rotation at defensive end, Omenihu recorded a sack for the second straight week. Omenihu, Carlos Watkins and P.J. Hall are rotating at both end spots, getting double the available snaps when J.J. Watt is not on the field.

Records sack in loss
Omenihu had two tackles and one sack in Sunday's 33-16 loss to the Ravens in Week 2.
Analysis: Omenihu recorded his first sack of the season in the third quarter, snuffing out a Ravens red-zone trip and forcing them to kick a field goal. He started Week 1 but came off the bench against Baltimore behind P.J. Hall. He'll be part of the rotation at defensive end all season.

Fills rotational role as rookie
Omenihu recorded 13 tackles, three sacks, two pass breakups and two forced fumbles over 14 regular-season games in 2019.
Analysis: Omenihu averaged 32 defensive snaps per game, and his playing time ticked up after J.J. Watt's mid-season pectoral injury opened up an opportunity for the rookie. Houston invested a 2019 fifth-round draft pick in Omenihu, a local kid from Houston who played college ball at Texas, and he developed nicely. The Texans used several players at the defensive end spot opposite Watt, so expect Omenihu to be in the mix for a starting job in 2020.
