Higdon signed a reserve/future contract with the Texans on Monday.

Analysis: The 22-year-old started in Houston's preseason finale against the Rams, rushing eight times for 25 yards and catching both of his targets for 16 more yards. Analysis: Higdon recorded 10 more carries than any other running back on the roster, though he came away with an underwhelming average of 2.2 yards per carry.
