Analysis: Platzgummer has yet to make his NFL debut. He's been rostered by the Giants as a part of the NFL International Player Pathway Program the past two years, but he was cut before the start of the regular season both times.

Platzgummer (hamstring) was placed on non-football injury list Thursday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Platzgummer spent last season on New York's practice squad and was re-signed in April. The 24-year-old is unlikely to crack the rotation as the Giants brought in Devontae Booker and Corey Clement to serve as the backups behind Saquon Barkley.
